Insulated building glass

Insulated glass is a set consisting of at least two panes separated by a spacer around the entire perimeter, connected to each other using various sealing processes, with hermetically sealed spaces between panes containing a strong hygroscopic agent, absorbing moisture, air or other gases.

Insulated glass is generally produced in two versions, as one and two-chamber. Thanks to modern solutions, the glass unit can protect against heat loss, protect against excessive heating, protect against noise and provide temporary protection against burglary.

The decoration of insulated glass can be internal glazing bars in various colors that create simple geometric forms or complex mesh constructions. Glazing can be made in any unusual shapes – circles, trapezoid, ovals, etc.

Characteristics and types of glass units

A / Insulated glass with low-emissivity glass (thermofloat)

Insulated glass with low-emission glass limits the flow of heat energy from rooms to the outside. A thin layer, invisible to the eye (B) sprayed on float glass (A), transmits light and solar energy to the inside, preventing heat transfer to the outside.

As a result, for the user, this means a reduction in heating costs, increasing thermal comfort, as well as protecting our common environment. For example, insulated glass pane construction: low-emission soft-coated glass 4mm / Argon / float 4mm has a coefficient of U = 1.1 [W / m2 x K]

B / Insulated glass with laminated glass (safe, anti-burglary)

Insulated glass units with laminated glass are designed to protect users against fragmentation and hence from getting hurt in case of cracking, breakage or attempted break-in. Special feature of laminated glass is connection of component glass panes with PVB foil on their entire surface. Depending on the constitution there are different types of laminated glass and therefore various classes of the puncture resistance.
